On Friday I attended the Teacher Librarian Day conference at the Colorado History Museum. The event is sponsored by the National Library and is part of the American Memory Scholars and Fellows program. It is always very interesting. Done in a TEDtalks fashion, the conference attendees stay in one place and the speakers each get about 10 minutes to speak on a topic related to using primary source (first person) documents in teaching. It is a great conference.
After the conference was done, we were invited to visit the rest of the museum. The museum was closed for a while so that a brand new building could be built. It was exciting to see the new place. It is such a different experience from before.
